FOOD AND MUSIC….WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR?

Celebrating its 114 year, Oldham carnival was ram-packed with street performers, world food stalls, and the RootZ Festival stage featuring a host of bands of different musical genres. Mixed weather didn’t dampen the spirits of those attending, and yours truly managed to perform at a time when the clouds had parted and rain had ceased.

As you can see in the photos, Bod was absent that day. He was still recovering from the operation to have a stent put in. Luckily Matt stepped up and kept the band in time with expert bass drumming (as well as playing the mando and backing vocals)!

We must also note that the lovely aromas coming from the hot food stalls played havoc with Ollies bottomless pit of a stomach throughout the entire set. And as soon as the band had finished he was off quicker than a whippet with a bum full of dynamite to scoff down a huge portion of jerk chicken and rice!
